Location and Actor Planning*

Learning Comment:
By planning the location and actor of my music video, will make storyboarding and planning the shot list easier as I know the different limitations and strengths of each location. By knowing where my filming will take place I am also able to organise my actor so that we know what location we need to be at and on what day.

Camera Techniques Planning

As I am planning on having a stronger focus on the performance elements in my music video rather than narrative, I decided to research into camera and photography techniques that I could use in my own music video that will make my music video more engaging and of a higher quality.

Learning Comment:
This extra research has given me more inspiration on the types of techniques that I can use when filming my own music video. These techniques will allow my video to be of a high quality, creative, engaging and will make it stand out from other music videos.

Fashion and Props Planning

Learning Comment:
From carrying out this planning task I have a clearer idea of what to include in my story board and more inspiration for the different shots and how to use the mise-en-scene effectively in order to portray the different 'identities' in order to make sure the audience understands the narrative.
By completing this task I have also become aware of issues I didn't know about before. As the identities are so different from each other the video may seem disjointed and clumsy, however from the planning I am now aware of this problem and therefore have decided to use a 'milk bath' in order to link all the different identities together and create a sense of synergy throughout the music video.

Learning Comment:

From analysing these lyrics I am now better to able understand the meaning behind the lyrics, that explaining that the protagonist moves on when she becomes bored. I have decided to represent the lyrics in my music video through an illustrative narrative demonstrating the artist's personal conflicting and her struggle to find her own personal identity,
